Sarah Abdo

Nurse

Born in West Melbourne, started Nursing at the beginning of 2014 as an Enrolled Nurse and then completed the Bachelor of Nursing. I have been a Nurse for over 7 years with a variety of skills in different areas of Nursing including practice nursing, aged care nursing, agency nursing and emergency management.

In addition, I am a St John Ambulance Volunteer for events for over 9 years  and do over 60 hours yearly of volunteer work . During my Nursing employment I have also studied Diploma of Children service, Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety, Certificate III in Community service and Diploma of Business.

I aspire in the future to continue my career and venture to other fields of nursing such as accidents and emergency, cardiac unit, paediatric, plastics/cosmetic and Women’s Health.

Whilst not nursing I really enjoy spending time with family and friends, participating in high adrenaline sports ( soccer, car racing, cliff jumping and swimming), calligraphy, photography and inspiring others to reach their full potential.

Joan completed her nursing degree in the Philippines. She moved to Melbourne 2016.
 
After completing the International Registration for Overseas Nurse program, she worked with Nursing agency and was assigned to general medical and surgical nursing before joining Women’s Health Hub.
 
She has particular interest in children’s immunisation, gender diversed health and volunteer works for non-profit organisations.
 
 
When not working, she spends time watching movies and reading.
