Dr Amala Pathirana completed her medical degree in 1998. She did her residency at the Fremantle Hospital in Western Australia in 2001, followed by work at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and the Geelong Hospital, working extensively in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT and Emergency Medicine.
Amala received her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2006. She has a wide experience in working as a GP in rural and metropolitan Australia.
